"Auto" Straddle

I didn't get called over to the table but I heard this after the fact and was wondering what others would have done if this is presented to them. Cash table that has been running for a hour of so all players have been there for a bit. One player told the dealer and the table that he was on a "Auto Straddle" the players were talking and the "Auto" played did not put out the straddle buy noticed it after the cards were out (he didn't look at his hand) and he said oh sorry I'm on auto straddle....... a player questioned it..... not a strong objection and was drinking...... but, do you let him straddle or not??

Straddles should be announced in turn.

If action has followed, the would be straddler, his "auto straddle" should not be allowed.

If you want to straddle, do it when you're supposed to.
