A little talk about a crazy old rule from the past!
« on: June 27, 2016, 10:28:41 AM »
Does anyone remember this rule from the past?

In the late 70's in Las Vegas there used to be a rule on the books that went something like this: Any player calling a bet on the final betting round, that could NOT beat the open hand he called, got his last bet returned to him! That's right...If you could not beat, what you could see, your final bet was returned!

Best example was in stud. A player with "open King's" is called by a player holding only two Queens. The player holding the Queens was returned his bet. Don't remember exactly when it was changed but this is one old rule, even I thought was crazy. ;D
