Title: SB, BB versus small blind, big blind
Post by: BillM16 on October 31, 2017, 09:29:49 AM
Various rules alternatively use the common abbreviations SB or BB while others use the fully descriptive small blind or big blind.  The consistent use of one method should be used throughout the document.  Personally, I prefer the latter.  If a glossary were added, I'd prefer the former.

I agree it makes sense, especially SB and BB being very clear.  Could do the glossary (like in RRoP), but also just like any paper writing , once you used it once and associated it with the acronym  then use the acronym going forward.

Aren't these rules meant for TDA members, and/or experienced poker players?

I shudder to think that those people need a definition of SB.

What's next? A Rank Of Hands list?

Just to toss wood into the fire (an extinguished one maybe) doesn’t BB mean Big Bet? :)
Now that I got that out of my chest, please disregard and carry on…

Personally...I don't care for any abbreviations. I use them but would prefer not to.
