Hi Madan,

TDA Rule #44: Re-Opening the Bet.
In no-limit and pot limit, an all-in wager of less than a full raise does not reopen betting for a player who has already acted and is not facing at least a full raise when the action returns to him. In limit, at least 50% of a full raise is required to re-open betting for players who have already acted. See Addendum.

Moneymaker66 has already checked and is now facing an all-in wager that is less than a full raise. So, betting is not reopened.  He may call $16.12 or fold.  Here, a full raise to Moneymaker66 would be equal to or greater than the size of the BB, which is $50.

Regards,
B~

Hello folks,

According to the rules, Bill's answer seems legit

This case seems to come from an online cash game, but it could happen on tournaments. So, here are my concerns =) :

Quote
*** FLOP *** [7h Tc Ah]
DxbFish: checks
moneymaker66: checks
SaveUrAce: bets $16.12 and is all-in
DxbFish: calls $16.12
moneymaker66: option opens to this player to bet pot or raise?

How about the fact a player can call a bet which is under the minimum non All-in amount ?

Since after the $16.12 call, action is not over yet, DxbFish should not be able to call for less than the big blind amount. In this case, betting should get reopened for moneymaker66.

Any thoughts ?

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I agree to the fact that the bet (all-in) amount is lesser than the minimum bet but like Boris points out when DXBfish calls shouldn't the betting be reopened to moneymaker66?

Please help me understand this better.

PS: Yes this is from an online cash game :)

Cheers

If a player who has already acted is not facing a legal wager by the time action returns to him, he may not make an aggressive action.  $16 when a min-bet is $50 would not re-open action to a player who has checked; however anyone who has not acted yet may still raise.

These are the rules, but what an online cash game does may be written incorrectly compared to established rules of the game.  For example, many online sites allow a short all-in raise of 50% or more to reopen action when it should always require 100% on NL or PL.
