Title: Dealers not allowed to call string bet
Post by: ShaneP15 on November 05, 2016, 10:28:48 AM
I don't understand this. In the TDA, it keeps saying, "Dealers are responsible for calling string bet/raises."

Now it says, "Dealers will call string bet/raises."

Same thing. But yet every casino I go to, the dealer is not supposed to call string bet/raises. What's going on here?

Good morning Shane and welcome,

You are correct that the wording was changed in the last Summit meeting.

TDA 2015

51:  String Bets and Raises
Dealers will call string bets and raises.

TDA 2013

48: String Bets and Raises
Dealers will be responsible for calling string bets and raises.

You can get more information on "What's going on here?" by watching the TDA Summit videos.  This change and other string bet topics was discussed on Day 1 in the Part 2 video at about 2:24:05 into the video:  Here's a link:

Here is another forum topic link that will give you more information on the last TDA Summit:

As to the casino's that you frequent, I suggest that you chat with the TD for more info on the house rules and procedures.

Welcome to the forum and best regards,
B~
