Hi guys!
Whats the better definition for the situation when 2 players with the same stack are eliminated on the satellite bubble ?
Ex: player A with more chips eliminate player B and C with the same stack after they went all in pre flop.
The satellite ticket cannot be splited, if they dont make a deal how to definition who takes the ticket ?

If you cannot split the value of the seat, they will have to draw high card to determine who wins the satellite. A similar situation happened at the WSOP where the bubble boy was to be given a free entry into the next year's Main Event but two players were knocked out on different tables. Those two players drew high card, the higher card got a $10,000 seat, the lower card got nothing.

I like the $5K each, it does sound more fair... but if people played it to get in, it is not going to work for them... but $5K is better than 0.

Maybe they could have a sudden death with the chips they had... 5 rotation heads up, whoever has the most chip at the end of 10 hands gets the seat?

In this situation I m ok with Max, it s better to let them play a turbo HU ...
Pick a card or look for the higher card or hand is a bit gambling guys and we have to prove that poker isn t a gambling game like others casino games ...

Hindsight being what it is - I'd recommend that going forward a rule be published before the tournament which resolves the tie. It would likely be a house rule or a WSOP rule. (Hmmm, I'll take a look to see if the WSOP covered it.)

i disagree with play a HU unless its on the rule before tournament start.
example an amateur will be forced to play a daniel negreanu HU... he should consider have more chances flipping a high card than playing better of 5 HU hehehe
or they maybe be exaust or boring to be busted of the event to play a HU
with both agree with that ok, but force to play i dont think its a good idea

I would think that if it goes heads up for the tiebreaker, it would be a super short stack turbo. IE. Something that will be settled in 10-15 minutes tops.

I couldn't imagine a scenario that would force me to have two players "high card" for $10k.
$5k each, and if they decided to high card each other for it, so be it.

It was Jack Links beef jerky that was sponsoring the free entry. They don't do this out of kindness, they do this for both the initial publicity but also so that someone wears their tag the following year and they get advertisement. If no one plays the following year then they don't get anyone to wear their patch and they are giving away $10k for no advertisement; not gonna happen in this scenario.

Agrees that makes sense, and really they are not giving away $10K, they are giving away a free seat to next years main event valued at $10K.
