Heads-up Tournaments
« on: December 12, 2011, 05:59:14 PM »
A co-worker of mine had a really cool idea for a heads up tournament league. 32 teams follow the NFL season with players registering and getting a team. Your matchups would follow the sports schedule for the 16 week regular season with all players facing off one day of the week. I'm looking for info on Heads-up play, bracket creation, tournament software, structures, or anyone who has run these regularly or is well informed about headsup tournament play.

Spence,
That seems like a good idea. I was looking at a schedule and want to know how you would handle bye weeks and divisional teams that play each other twice. Playing one different team each week and eliminating the bye wek, I think the season could run 13 weeks. I'm interested in how your payout structure would be and what incentive would remain for players late in the season? It sounds real interesting if you can figure out the payouts and play-offs.
