Chip count: how to speed up the process

Hello folks,
I'm here asking this question:
how do you speed up the chip count process during a break?
Problem does not sussist when a tournament is of about 50 people... but when running a 100+ ppl tournament, it becomes very hard to do and to display the info on the screen.
How do you proceed?
Also, how to make an ingame chip count? is that possible?
As Software, I use The Tournament Director 2

Linker, I am afraid I don't understand what exactly you are asking about. But I will stab at it a bit until you can clarify..
If you are talking about the overall chip count of chips in play for the tourney then I would say you don't need any time at all. If you do a chip race at the break then your overall chip count remains within a few units of the second largest denomination in play and isn't worth worrying about. Tournament Director 2 tracks that stuff right from the gitgo and can display average stack and all that.
If you are talking about individual players stack sizes, then I would say that you need a team of about 12 people for a 100 player tourney to run around and count (maybe even asking players to count stacks before leaving table.). I can't imagine this is important until the final table or two maybe.
But then, I am just stabbing at this for the moment cause I am really not sure what you are after.

I only give estimations of chip leaders stacks, then a full count before the final table commences, for one day events. For longer events I'd have the dealer at each table carry out the stack counts at the start of key breaks, and before chip races (again during breaks)

I like Stuarts approach. If this is something that you are going to incorporate into announcements over the course of the day (or days) then the dealers could do updates at the breaks.
